Spring Fair provides launchpad for new preschool products

Buyers from a huge range of retailers have headed to Birmingham’s NEC over recent days to find new ranges at Spring Fair 2024.

Buyers attending the show have included TK Maxx, WHSmith, Tesco, John Lewis, Blue Diamond and many more. Thousands of suppliers are showcasing their latest products over the four-day show, with over one million products across 13 sectors, including Kids, Toys & Play.

The New Product Showcase is presenting new lines across a range of sectors, while the newly launched Pitch Live Gift has been attracting a wide audience to the Dragon’s Den style pitching session. The judging panel watched on yesterday as exhibitors, including Ducky Zebra and Go On Make Me, presented new and innovative products.

Ducky Zebra, who won the pitch, launched just over two year ago following frustration in gender stereotypes in children’s clothing. The company presented a clothing range celebrating confidence, kindness and joy.

Go On Make Me debuted its Oyster Catcher, a build-able paper bird designed to get kids off screens. The company said: “We want to promote playfulness, it’s a trophy product.”

Buyers have been sharing their joy at their new discoveries at the show. Julia Lowe from Farm Toys Online, Somerset said: “We have been coming here for 15 years, and we’re looking for some specialist products. We often find some new gems and loved Hippy Chick. We’re always looking for sustainable items and we like the recycled Snugglies we have seen today.”

Spring Fair is open until 4pm on Wednesday 7 February.
