The UK prime minister Boris Johnson and partner Carrie Symonds have been preparing for the arrival of their first-born child, which is due to arrive in early summer.
There was much excitement at The Little Green Sheep’s (virtual) HQ when its natural knitted moses basket was spotted being delivered to 10 Downing Street on Monday 23 March.
The luxury product from the ethical baby brand was delivered along with a number of other newborn essentials, signalling that preparations may have been brought forward for the new arrival.
Eagle-eyed onlookers spotted that the prime minister had chosen the Dove colourway, adding a modern twist to the high-profile nursery at number ten.
“With everything that is happening currently, we are finding that many expectant parents are bringing forward their baby purchases to ensure they are ready for when the time comes,” said the Little Green Sheep’s marketing director, Mark Nicholls. ” It seems only natural in a time of change that the Prime Minister and his Fiancée are ensuring they are also prepared for the arrival of their baby.”
“Naturally Mr Johnson has a busy and demanding role, now more than ever, but it is lovely to see the parents-to-be have taken the time to handpick the right sleeping environment for their little one,” he added.
