Campaign has aim of donating one million LEGO sets to children in difficult circumstances over Christmas period.
The LEGO Group has launched its 2019 #BuildtoGive campaign with the aim of donating one million LEGO sets to children who find themselves in difficult circumstances during the holiday season.
LEGO fans of all ages are being called on to unleash their creativity for good by building fun, festive ornaments with LEGO bricks and sharing them on social media with #BuildtoGive or in participating stores.
For every ornament built and shared, the LEGO Group will donate a LEGO set to a child in need of play.
Last year, the LEGO Group donated more than 500,000 LEGO sets to children around the world and this holiday season, the company is looking to double the donation.
“Being able to follow up on last year’s amazing donation by doubling our commitment is something we are all very proud of,” said Kathrine Kirk Muff, vp of social responsibility and engagement at LEGO Group. “The enthusiasm from LEGO builders across the world to build beautiful and fun ornaments to help children in difficult circumstances warms our hearts.
“We cannot wait to see how builders of all ages will unleash their creativity again this year and help us bring LEGO play into the hands of one million children in need.”
