Parents’ tech saved by Tommee Tippee innovation

With almost three-quarters of UK parents (70%) reporting that their toddler has ruined a piece of technology with a spilled drink, Tommee Tippee has developed a new toddler cup innovation to help save smartphones, tablets and other costly tech.

Toddler mealtimes are often difficult, with a third of parents admitting their child throws food (32%) and regularly knocks over their drink (37%), according to a survey conducted by Censuswide on behalf of Tommee Tippee.

Almost two-thirds of those parents (65%) reported costly toddler drink spillages damaging items worth over £100, while over half (51%) ended up with a damaged smartphone or tablet.

As a result of this, a quarter of parents do not allow their young children to drink from an open-top cup. Tommee Tippee’s innovative CleverGrip technology resists being knocked over, encouraging development of open-cup drinking without the mess.

“As a brand, we have worked hard to become synonymous with our cups and beakers range, and this is something we take immense pride in maintaining,” said senior product manager Ben Diamant.

He continued; “We wanted to reinforce our presence in the cups market by developing a product that genuinely makes mealtimes with toddlers less stressful. After all, innovation is the lifeblood of what we do, but helping parents is what drives us.”
