Which? identifies key pushchair trends for 2019

Consumer watchdog Which? has identified a number of key trends across the pram and pushchair market that it believes consumers will be looking for in 2019.

Retailers looking to attract consumers looking for the latest designs and most popular fashions should be stocking brands and models offering metallic chassis, breathable fabrics and a heritage look.

In the online feature, Which? identified a number of different trends from across the market and highlighted models which meet the innovative or stylish criteria.

The trend for pushchairs with a metallic chassis name-checked BabyStyle’s egg diamond black with its rose-gold frame as well as the gold versions seen at Venicci on the Mamas & Papas Tour 3. Rose-gold chassis are also coming soon for the Cybex Priam and Mios.

Fabric fashions for 2019 include heritage designs such as tweed, herringbone and houndstooth. Mamas & Papas has created a new line of fabrics for its popular Ocarro line, while Nuna’s Threaded Collection features finely tailored fabrics and the Uppababy Vista features a distinctive checked fabric.

On a more practical note, ventilation and breathable fabrics have also become increasingly important with suppliers. Which? identifies the Nuna Mixx, the Silver Cross Jet and the GB Pockit Air as being the ones to watch over the coming months.
