Nursery Industry Productpreneurs Association (NIPA) is a group of inventors working within the nursery industry who have come together to exhibit at this year’s Kind + Jugend show in Cologne (20 – 23 September 2018).
The baby and children’s product inventors have banded together to form a not-for-profit association called NIPA Baby. The unique group is dedicated to inventors-turned-entrepreneurs, offering mutual support and helping to combat copies.
The NIPA Baby association was the brainchild of Jodine Boothby, Gummee founder, and first began life as a Facebook group. It quickly gained strength and now comprises of more than 40 member brands who have created innovative and original products for babies and children. It is now a formally incorporated company.
“NIPA grew organically as a response to the need to support small businesses with original products in an industry where illegal or inferior copies are sadly increasingly common,” explained Jodine. “All of us have found the group to be a source of strength, and by officially coming together we can demonstrate the ingenuity and true customer care in small businesses like ours.”
There will be five NIPA Baby members will be showing at the association’s stand in the UK Pavilion; Tidy Books children’s bookcases, Fill ‘n’ Squeeze feeding pouches, Snugglebundle car seat blanket, Sock Ons and Baby Nails – The Thumble.
